Job Description
This position is responsible for managing and supporting an ArcGIS Enterprise environment, including administering TWM’s Enterprise Portal, as well as Enterprise deployments of TWM clients. The Administrator will work with GIS Specialist(s) and the GIS Manager to maintain existing systems, plan and implement upgrades and Enterprise deployments.
Experience Level: 4 years with a bachelor’s degree, 6 years with an Associate’s degree
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Location: Swansea, IL
Job Functions:
- Manages an ArcGIS Enterprise SDE environment, geodatabases, and data stores
- Monitors Portal, AGO, and Enterprise geodatabase security, user, and group accounts
- Sets up AEC project delivery accounts and groups
- Develops scripts used in geoprocessing and maintenance tasks
- Performs system updates and maintenance to optimize performance and reliability
- Allocates licenses and user accounts as required
- Deploys, updates, and maintains Enterprise and AGO environments for clients
- Publishes map, feature, print, and other geoprocessing services
- Creates web applications and dashboards using ESRI’s Experience Builder
- Updates ArcGIS Add-ins used in production workflows
- Imports and exports databases, tables, shapefiles, etc.
- Manages data ETL and quality assurance for GIS software systems applications.
- Analyzes and interprets spatial data used in the production of maps, reports, and other products
- Ensures proper functionality of enterprise GIS services
- In cooperation with the GIS Manager and IT staff, coordinates database and host server activities
- Troubleshoots issues and schedules and coordinates software patches, updates, and upgrades
- Consults with the GIS Manager and Project Managers in the development of their GIS plans, goals, and objectives.
- Designs GIS project methodology for assigned projects
- Maintains current knowledge of trends and developments in the geographic information systems field
- May help provide training and “help desk” assistance for other staff in the use of GIS.
- Performs additional duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field and at least 4 years direct working experience with GIS systems; OR
- A 2-year technical degree and at least 6 years direct working experience with GIS systems.
- Preferred applicants will possess:
- thorough knowledge of ArcGIS Pro for Desktop and ArcGIS for Server software
- experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and Portal
- knowledge of Experience Builder, WebApp Builder, Field Maps, dashboards, and Survey 123
- experience with Python and code development platforms like Github
- Experience working with Geodatabase maintenance and replication, spatial data, cadastral mapping, and ArcGIS SDE environments
Beneficial Qualifications:
- Experience with asset management software
- Experience with Trimble products and Trimble Business Center
- ETL experience with outputs from CAD software such as Civil3D and MicroStation
- Experience manipulating LiDAR datasets, Photogrammetry, and Oriented Imagery
- Experience in information technology, network administration, and virtualized server technologies..
